Day 45- NO CONTEXT

I'm trying to plan my lesson for Wednesday (let's hope people actually show up this time...). I'm teaching grammar...AGAIN //internal rage//

I've been given a tiny tiny section in the textbook to do with "articles" (definite and indefinite particles) No context. Just exercises.
HOW am I supposed to plan a 50 minute lesson about ARTICLES without ANY CONTEXT to put it in?!?! HUHH???

I swear to god I hate this textbook.

Day 44 - How Do You Know What That Tastes Like?

" How Do You Know What That Tastes Like?" is something I hate hearing. HAAAAAAAAATE.

If I say this sandwich tastes like a dog's butt dipped in expired chunky-ass milk THEN THAT'S WHAT IT TASTES LIKE.

You dont need to be a genius to work out that it tastes really bad. It's pretty damn obvious.

If I say that a certain drink tastes like an angel penetrated a rainbow goat and gave birth to a fluffy marshmallow love child then that is relatively a good thing, and the drink tastes really good!!!

Don't ask me how I know what that tastes like. Of course I've never drunk a fluffy marshmallow love child who's parents were an angel and a rainbow goat . But it's evident I ENJOYED THE GODDAMN BEVERAGE!!!

Fucksake -.-''

Next time someone asks me how do I"know what that tastes like" I will drown them in a vat of milkshake.

Day 43 - Heard It Through The Grapevine

I just watched episode 1 of Korean drama Heard It  Through The Grapevine.
If you were wondering just how much drama you can fit into 1 hours worth of drama the answer is  HELLA.

I swear to god. THEDRAMAINTHISDRAMA.
There was literally so much packed into it, I had a really hard time functioning.

The problem I have with korean dramas is that there are many many episodes and usually they're relatively long.
A bit like Taiwanese dramas- dont get me wrong I love watching them. But...I don't have a very high level of commitment.
I find that (romantic) Taiwanese dramas generally throw random 'extras' in that no one really cares about just to fill an episode. Oh great! She has a cold and he is telling her to look after herself! Wonderful! However we already established that he is a caring guy within the first episode...no need to spend the next hour hammering that home. WE GET IT!

From  what I've seen, Korean dramas don't have  random scenes like that in....they're just too long for me, 20 episodes on average....I've lost interest around episode 10.

Japanese dramas however....usually have 12 episodes. They get to the point and still have relatively well developed characters.
I do love a good Japanese drama~
*cough* Haruma *cough*

Going back to the actual point of this post.
Heard It Through The Grapevine  looks really good, I'm not sure how long I'll stick with it....but Lee  Joon *swoons*

Day 42 - Year Abroad Choices

Hi~
I'm still relatively annoyed with blogger.

Also when day 50 comes I'll take a break from daily posts, I've got a lot of stuff going on in March so...come April, daily posts will return~

I handed in my university choices in on Monday...and I'm genuinely freaking out. I found out that two other people chose my university for their 1st choice.  If they get there and I don't I will honestly break down and slaughter them both.

Basically we have a list of Universities in Japan to choose from, we have to select 5. Now I want to go to my second choice (which is  Hokkaido) but when I was thinking about it I kinda figured that I wouldnt want to spend a whole year there....I'd must rather go to another place and just visit Hokkaido. Which is why I'm praying that I get to go to my first choice.

Just tell me now if I'm going there universityyyyyy pleaaaaaaaaaaaase~

Day 41 - Just In Case

On the 26th February my blog [INH] will have been 3 years old. Quite a long time to have a blog for I think~

Buuut blogspot, naturally had to ruin my "Nearly 3 Years Old" buzz.
I got a notification when I logged in to blogger this morning that said :

Basically it said that any blogs that have sexually explicit/graphic nude images on will be made private.

I'm not saying that my blogs contain sexually explicit content, because I'm certain that it doesn't. But 2 years ago I received a notification informing me that I had "infringing content", whatever that means. And blogger removed the "infringing" posts, and notified me that if I had anything else that that "infringed" blah blah blah my blog would be deleted. I don't even remember what the posts were infringing anyway -.-''

So now I'm concerned that if blogspot somehow manage to find 'explicit' content then my blog would be deleted. I've already got a warning under my belt.

I'm certain all I have on there is topless men...that's not explicit..! ....right?

So!

I have made an executive decision to move my posts to wordpress as 'back up' JUST IN CASE~

Once I've sorted the layout and whatnot I'll start posting links etc ^^

Day 39 - 新年快乐!

Hello everyone!

Happy Chinese New Year! I hope the year of the Sheep will be very lucky for you~

I've been meaning to renew my passport because it expires in March(!) so I had planned to go and take photos after my class at 9am.

I did my face, did my hair so that I could  easily clip it out of the way when I needed to. I looked fabulous.

My entire look was destroyed. I looked like a foot....a serial killer's foot.

This always happens to me!! The last time I had to get my passport photos taken I was 14 and I was so sick the photo actually looks like I'm dying.

I hate passport photos. That 'no smile' face is not my natural face, and the fact that you "must show your ears" Well screw you passport people!!  My ears don't stick out enough for you to see them! And the fact that you want me to remove my glasses annoys me too....to quote Velma from Scooby Doo "I CAN'T SEE WITHOUT MY GLASSES". I can't see what I look like when the picture is being taken so I don't know if i've moved my head out of the circle thing UGHHHHH

Anywho I need to pack my stuff because I'm going to celebrate my mother's birthday~

Day 38 - I Didn't Teach

Today was the day I was meant to teach, but there were no students.
Because every time we teach we are assessed we need to have a minimum of 4 students...none showed up.

So my lesson has been postponed until April~

I won't be able to post  for the next few days because I am meeting my family as it's my mum's birthday on the 20th~
So enjoy my silence!

Sure the "mature man falls in love with high school student because he's freakin' adorable" thing has been done plenty of times in yaoi manga but hot damn it's like sweet and sour chicken - I AIN'T NEVER GON' GET TIRED OF THAT!

I really love Ruri Fujikawa's art style! I think I have a new name to add to my favourite author/mangaka list !
